End of Winter

Hank got a new toddler bedspread, the best i could find was a Cars themed set - not my favorite but not too bad once on the bed. he loves it!
For Valentine's day we spent a night at Crystal Pier; it is a pier in Pacific Beach that is lined with little one bedroom, full kitchen cottages right over the water. it was so beautiful, and so cozy! we took the boys, who slept great, and we even had a relatively warm, wonderful day playing at the beach in February! it was sunny, and Hank and Duke loved digging in the sand. it was Duke's first time on the beach, and since i had to haul the boys and everything down there by myself (Jesse had a quick work meeting,) i didn't bring the camera. i regret it! Duke, at only 7 months, was sitting up on the beach towel reaching over and digging a hole with his hands for a long time! as well as eating mouthfuls of sand. It was so adorable, he loved it so much - was very excited the whole time.
Last week Duke started laying his head on my shoulder giving me little hugs, and today he started reaching for me when i came over to pick him up. he is so sweet and mellow. Duke will sit patiently playing with whatever is in front of him while i tend to Hank, or do laundry, etc.
March 19th of this year (two weeks from today) we are moving to Seattle. at the moment, my heart is very, very heavy to leave the people i love and memories I've made here with my growing family. I'm hoping I'll be excited again once we arrive to our new home. God, you are good, and turn each day into a surprise.
